HELLO!
My name is Samantha Carrillo (or @lavlonfog on socials), I am an illustrator focusing on youth graphic novels and children’s storybooks to create stories for young people that feel intentional, full of life, and relevant in a world where children’s media lacks depth and thought.

Understanding, Inclusion
It is important for all I do whether art wise or generally in life to approach others with a sense of openness and understanding in the face of differences. Through my illustrations I hope to show a sense of inclusion through portraying diverse characters and environments.
MY MISSION
Education through artistry
You often see graphic novels and literature directed towards children as repetitive and lacking quality storytelling. I create stories and art that is made to properly represent and engage youth in the highest quality so that children can feel seen and empowered through thoughtful media.
